Learning To Play The Guitar In A Weekend

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

There are many systems and program that will guarantee to get anyone up and running so to speak in a very short period of time. Most of them can be found on the Internet by simply requesting a search for ?guitar lessons?

Most of those you will find will be in an E-Book format that you can work your way through at your own pace, with some very good basic sound tracks that you can listen too and play along too. Or some of the courses are available as a hard copy in either CD format or Book format from Amazon. Most of these books or systems teach you basic chord structures rhythms, and many of the E Book and cd format systems also include a companion which typically will contain about 150 tunes that you can play using just 4 basic chords or some other useful tool that you can use to aid you in your lessons.

The advantage of the downloaded E Book courses is that they are download as soon as you have paid which make it really easy to access and almost immediately start to use them without any fuss.

Whilst these may not the best system they certainly are very good in as much as they will get you going very quickly. Once you have mastered the first few lessons you will probably want to move on to other systems, but the best plan is really to stick with your first choice and go through that before branching out in all different directions. This way you will learn the basics well and then be able to move on and really enjoy your Guitar playing.

Once inside these E book systems you find that they are easy to follow and you will soon pick up a few tips and shorten your learning curve somewhat.

But to be fair if you can already play the guitar a little you need to be a little more selective in the program that you choose as some of those available will be way too basic for you and you will find that the vast majority of the information they contain will be way too basic for you.

I am still using the first e book I ever purchased including everything that came with the program. The E book was quite well laid out, not perfect, but still easy to follow. The chords structures and playing techniques that I learned from this book were a pleasure to learn, as I was lead through the course. The sound files that also came with it as a bonus were very good also, and I was soon strumming along with them.

How did You Learn to Play the Guitar?

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

I was once asked by a friend ?how did you learn to play the guitar?

Well that?s a very good question, and I really had to give it some thought, because it is so long ago, more than 40 years, that I had almost forget how and when I learned.

So in this Article I am going to reveal my secret. But then I will also reveal to you how I would go about it today.

So just how did I learn. Well it?s a long story, but to be reasonably brief, the when is just as important as the how. You see, I learned whilst I was serving the British Army in Germany in the early 1960?s. As you will all know, that was the hey day of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and also in America we had Elvis and buddy Holly and All those early Rock?n?roll stars, far too many to mention here. So that?s the When, and I suppose it?s also the why, but the How!

I really wanted to learn to play the electric guitar but I could not afford one, being a young ?squaddie? in those we did not get paid very much. So I had to buy a cheap acoustic Guitar to learn on. I bought my first guitar in a Music Shop in Munchengladbach in Germany, and it came with a ?Play in Day? book which was written by Burt Weedon who was at the time one of the top guitarists in the World. The only Problem was it was all in German. However not to daunted, I proceeded to learn to play the chords by just looking at the pictures of the Chords shapes.

This Method actually worked well as it also gave you a few simple songs and the chords needed to play along with the song. I remember the first song I ever learned was the Old evergreen ?Home, home on the Range? by I think it was Roy Rodgers. Now that really makes me feel old.

So there you have it, my secret to how I initially learned to play the guitar. Yes, I taught myself with the help of ? Burt Weedon?s? ?play in a Day? book (written in German !)

Soon after that I saved up and started to play with a few friends in the Barracks and we formed our own Group. Once we had played a few Gigs in Local Bars we had enough money to start buying electric guitars and amplifiers and the ?proper? gear.

I have been playing the Guitar on and off ever since then, playing in a few groups in Germany, Paris and the UK.

So to come back to my original point, how would I learn to play today? Well I would initially recommend that you get professional help. That has to be the best method for anyone starting out today. The reason I say this is that with a one to one tutor you learn everything about the guitar, and also you will learn to read music too. (I still can?t read to this day! my excuse! never had time.)

Now I realise that most people don?t have that kind of money or commitment. So the next best thing to do is buy yourself a good teaching system. Now Burt Weedon?s Book was great in the 60,s but time has moved on and nowadays we have the benefit of the Internet.

There are literally hundreds of e-books and downloadable systems that you can get your hands on. I have read many of them, and for my money I would recommend that this is definitely the best method. Just be careful that you pick a system that suits the style of music you are interested in, and go from there.

I have enjoyed my Guitar for over 40 Years and I hope that you too will learn to not only play the guitar, but learn to love playing the guitar. If you learn properly at the start, learn slowly and practice well, join in with others, and you will grow to love not only the music but the social life that comes with meeting some really nice people who share a similar passion.

Geoff Lord has been playing the guitar as a semi professional and hobby guitarist for over 40 Years. His best recommendation to any one wanting to learn today is to go take a look at his website where he reveals some the best tutorial available today.

Learning To Play The Acoustic Guitar Using Tablature

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

The acoustic guitar evolved from classic guitars. The strings of an acoustic guitar are typically made from steel rings, as opposed to the nylon or catgut strings used for classical guitars. That is why an acoustic guitar is sometime called a steel-stringed guitar. Acoustic guitars have a clearer and louder sound due to a much stronger construction than other guitars.

A acoustic guitar is usually played using a guitar pick, also called a plectrum (plural plectra), made from plastic, metal, ivory or other materials. The guitarist strums or strikes the guitar strings with the pick, which he will often hold between the index finger and thumb. Other guitarists do not use a pick, but play with their fingernails or bare fingers strumming or plucking individual notes on the guitar.

The type of construction and the materials used influence the price and sound quality of an acoustic guitar. A guitar with solid sides, back and top will be more expensive than one with laminated sides and back. The solid type guitars are generally made using maple, mahogany or Indian rosewood, whereas cheaper guitars are build with laminated woods. The neck and fingerboard are made with denser woods like cedar and ebony. The tone of the guitar is defined by the combination of woods used in the manufacture. To make the guitars a little less expensive, some manufacturers use alternative materials such as graphite and plastic.

A guitar tablature is a diagram of the strings with finger positions indicated by numerals corresponding to the appropriate frets. Tablature is sometime referred to in the short form "tab". Learning to play the acoustic guitar can be greatly eased by using tablature it corresponds more to how you actually play the guitar than standard musical notation.

Vertical lines on the tab represent the strings, horizontal lines represent the frets and the dots show the finger positions. For an acoustic guitar it is a six line staff with the lines numbered. Take note that the tablature is written "upside down" with the higher notes at the top and lower ones at the bottom to correspond to standard music notation. The numbers indicate which fret should be used.

Guitar tabs are standardized, but various publishers of sheet music may use different styles writing guitar music. Guitar magazines, songbooks and journals will provide a legend to specify the style they are using.

The six line guitar tab has several advantages over standard musical notifaction that use a five line staff for learning to play acoustic guitar. It is much easier to interpret guitar tab and new players can pick it up quickly. So go ahead, get some of your favourite songs in tab format and play away!

Guitar Lesson: Five Ways To Learn The Notes On The Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

To find your way around the fretboard of the guitar is very important. It will help you in guitar improvisation, sight reading, and in understanding chords and more. In this guitar lesson we will explore five ways to learn the notes on the guitar fretboard.

How much do you need to practice?

A couple of minutes a day with one of these exercises will help you improve your skills in finding the notes. In this guitar lesson we will focus on the fretboard and not the actual guitar sheet music.

Learning to read guitar sheet music will be much easier when you master the notes on the guitar keyboard. I have divided this article in five lessons that you can alternate between until you master the guitar fretboard.

Guitar lesson 1

Learn the basic notes, the notes of a C major scale (the white keys on the piano) on every string. Let's test this on the first string on your guitar. The first note is an E. You will find F on the first fret. G on fret three. A on fret five. B on fret seven. C on fret eight, D on fret ten and the next E on fret twelve.

The sixth string on the guitar is an E too. It's just two octaves lower but you will find the same note names on this string on the same frets two octaves lower.

On the second string you will find the notes on the following frets:

fret 0-B, 1-C, 3-D, 5-E, 6-F, 8-G, 10-A, 12-B

On the third guitar string you'll find the following notes:

0-G, 2-A, 4-B, 5-C, 7-D, 9-E,10-F, 12-G

I guess you can figure out the names of the notes on the next strings by yourself but here they are in case you will double check. The fourth string:

0-D, 2-E, 3-F, 5-G, 7-A, 9-B, 10-C, 12-D

The notes on the fifth string or the A-string:

0-A, 2-B, 3-C, 5-D, 7-E, 8-F, 10-G, 12-A

I would suggest that you concentrate on one string at a time and learn the names as you play the notes on your guitar maybe by saying the note names aloud as you play.

Guitar lesson 2

Learn a specific note on all strings. This is a great way to learn the notes and quite amusing too. Let's use the note G. You'll find it on the third fret on string six. Where can you find the note G on string five? Right, on fret 10.

The G notes on the strings from the sixth string to the first are on the following frets:

3 10 5 0 8 3

You can make an exercise of this by playing the G notes from string six down to the first string and back again. Try this with other notes too. For example E.

If you devote a couple of minutes a day on this exercise you will soon be able to play the sequence of strings fast, spotting the notes without effort.

Guitar lesson 3

Learn the names of the notes on a fret. We can start with the open strings starting from the sixth string to the first. The names will be:

E A D G B E

Now, play the notes on the third fret in the same order. At the same time try to say the names of the notes aloud. I will help you this time only by writing the note names down:

G C F Bb D G

Try this exercise on different frets and say the names of the notes aloud.

Guitar lesson 4

Learn the notes in a chord. Play any chord and name the notes aloud from string six to string one. This guitar exercise will also help you to understand how the chords are built.

Guitar lesson 5

In this guitar lesson you will use your ability to create random notes on the guitar. As you play notes on your guitar at random you also say the note names aloud.

Play in an even pace, just fast enough to make this exercise a challenge for your mind so your mind will concentrate on the task and not wander off.

All of these small guitar lessons can be used together with a companion. One playing the notes on the guitar and the other saying the note names.

As I mentioned before I think it's best not to overdo these exercises. Choose one of the guitar lessons and work a couple of minutes a day on mastering the exercise.

Some Tips To Learning Classical Guitar Music

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Do you have an interest in classic guitar music? Maybe you have heard a master play and now want to learn the same skills yourself or maybe like many people you have an old guitar in the house that you have always wanted to learn to play.

Classical music has been around for many years, dating as far back as the 16th century. To hear and see a master at work playing classical guitar music, it might be intimidating to a beginner, but that does not mean you cannot learn. You need to start somewhere and you can work at your own pace, but it is important to take some action. Nothing happens if you do not take action.

A good place to start might be start searching on the internet for websites dedicated to guitar music. You will be able to find several websites where you can get lots of background information, free tips and even some guides to start you off in your endeavor. You can also find detailed instruction courses, which includes textbooks, audio files with sample songs, and even video that shows you exactly what to do. But you might want to stick to the free resources available until you are certain you want to spend the time and money necessary to become really skillful playing classical guitar music.

Reading classical music can be a challenge, since unlike regular sheet music, you will see lots of special notations around the notes and staves that might confuse you at first. If you bought a good music book, it should have an explanation of the special symbols and what you need to do to play them.

Classical music has been around for hundreds of years, and that is great news for you when it comes to looking for sheet music. A lot of this kind of music is no longer subject to copyright and has passed into the public domain, which simply means that you should be able to find it for very cheap and even free. Once again the internet can be a great resource for this.

Believe it or not, but your fingernails will play an essential role in your playing classical guitar music. It is suggested that you grow out the fingernails on your strumming hand. Your nails play a huge role in the tone and volume and helps with speed and accuracy. Also, since the nail is an extension of the finger, it makes it easier to reach the strings and make picking much easier.

If you are looking for a new hobby, taking up guitar is a great choice, and a lot of help is available at your fingertips on the internet. But remember learning to play any musical instrument takes practice and dedication.

Learning Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Ask any accomplished musician how they became so good and they will all tell you the same thing: practice, practice and more practice. Sure some people may have a better ear for music than others and some people seem like they are born with an instrument in their hands. But no matter how much natural talent you have or haven?t got the only way that you are going to become anywhere near proficient is by putting in the hours day after day.

This rises a bit of a dilemma. Sure most of us would like nothing more than to be able to spend the day sitting around jamming and running a few riffs but the reality of life, whether you?re at school or a wage slave is that you just don?t have the time. Especially in a world that?s forcing you to be busier and busier every day.

That?s why it?s so hard to grab an hour or two every day to get in the practice time you need. It?s also why the time you can steal to practice needs to be as enjoyable and beneficial to you playing as possible. Your hobby and fascination for music has to be as enjoyable and productive as possible.

Luckily there are now a number of really cool ways that help to get the most benefit out of your practice time and get you to the next level of mastery in as little time as possible. Some products are way better than others but it is well worth the investment in software programs if you are really serious about getting good in as short a time as possible.

You may not think that a piece of software would give you step-by-step instructions to read tab and play by ear, but in fact, these aids are produced to play virtually any song that you ever hear on the radio. This kind of software let you discover how to read music, how to recognise chord shapes and how to transcribe songs from the radio and CDs, etc. Many are available free in the internet.

My recommendation is that while aids in the net are the easiest way to enhance your guitar skills, the old say:" practice, practice, practice" is what count if you want to be the best.

You Can Learn To Play A Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

A person can learn how to play a guitar without a whole lot of extra stuff. There are gadgets and a lot of bells and whistles you can purchase if you choose but the only thing that is a must have is a guitar.

Even this does not have to be one of the expensive models. There has been a lot of great music played on not so great guitars over the years. The important thing is the guitar you choose be in decent shape. The first item you need to check is the action of your guitar. The action is a term that guitar players use to refer to how high the strings are.

The action on your guitar needs to be set at a reasonable level. This is most important because if the action is too high the guitar will be hard to play and if it is too low the strings will buzz. The guitar should note even all the way down the neck.

Another important thing to check is to make sure the intonation is ok. To check this play the smallest string open then play it again at the 12th fret. The notes should be in tune with each other. If there is a big difference in the notes the guitar has some possible major problems.

When you are picking out your first guitar it makes little difference in brand name or whether the guitar is a classical or steel string guitar. The notes are the same so get the best guitar you can afford without getting crazy.

Learning to play a guitar brings a new set of problems you have most likely not experienced before. You will find muscles cramping and sore fingers coming along after you have played for a little while. You are using muscles normally used for other things so it takes a little time to condition these muscles to work with you.

As you play you will start to get calluses on the tips of your fingers. As you push down the strings this hard buildup on your fingers will help you out a lot. A person starting out on his guitar playing may find his fingers bleeding until the calluses build up.

To be successful in learning to play a guitar you will need to practice every day. Mastering this wonderful instrument takes a lot of time and energy. Practice until the slow clumsy movements become second nature. This is when you will discover the true rewards of playing the guitar.

Guitar Learning Lessons: Learning to Play Guitar is Still a Pretty Cool Thing to Do

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

"Though even I admit I was the unlikeliest Guitar Player they had ever met before. . . "

There IS a way to quickly master this instrument of torture (otherwise known as the guitar)

The exact date has long since gone from my memory, but I CAN still remember how good it felt AND more importantly how unlikely the situation was.

Imagine me . . . I was 22 years old and had been playing for less than 18 months. My fulltime job, the one that fed the twin boys we had, and kept the roof above our heads, was as a door to door insurance agent. OK so it wasn't glamourous but it paid the mortgage on the tiny house we had.

Most days I wore a cheap suit and travelled round on a 50cc motor cycle. Visiting clients in their own homes and collecting their weekly premiums and trying (not very well in those days) to sell them more life/car/house insurance.

The only good part about that job was meeting people in the evenings and getting to spend most of the daytime with my kids and indulging my new found passion . . . the guitar.

I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT FIRST DREW ME TO THE GUITAR

I can't remember what first drew me to the guitar. I can remember the smell of the wood and the sound of the strings and the feel of the thing but not the reason I was drawn to it so completely.

I remember the first time I tried to hold down a chord. The pain was unbelievable. I remember thinking surely it can't feel like this when you play...otherwise why would anyone do it?

THEN I STARTED TO THINK . . . THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE

When I read those first books on guitar, not one of them mentioned that it actually hurt your fingers. They all made it sound so easy. 'Hold down a G chord and strum four times . . then change to a C and Woah... wait a minute ....THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE.

I admit that I am a very compulsive and driven person, but I couldn't see how I was going to get past holding down those first couple of chords. I'd bought a few books by now and had a go at some tabs, but I was getting nowhere. Couldn't play a damn song to save my life . . . but I could hold down a G chord . . . well yippidee dah!

THE STORY COULD HAVE ENDED RIGHT THERE . . .

The story could very easily have ended right there had it not been for a little coincidence. The house next door to ours was vacant and the owner asked if I could show potential tenants round if they showed up.

I said yes and one day a guy turned up to look at the house and he had a guitar case with him. I asked him if he could play and he said yes...and took out the guitar and started turning me green with envy.

The story races on here...he moved in and we became great friends despite the fact that I was round there every night (almost every night) for the next 12 months. Paul was very patient with me, I think because he could see how enthusiastic I was, and taught me just about everything he knew.

A year later we both realised that I had more of a talent for guitar than he did but with his patience and his willingness to show me (sometimes over and over again for hours) I had learned at a pace that was breathtaking.

THEY WERE GOING TO REGRET THIS . . .

So here we were about 18 months after I had first picked up a guitar, a room full of smirking wannabe 'musicians' all looking cool with long hair, torn jeans, smiling at this dude in the cheap suit who had asked to look at one of the guitars.

I had turned up at one of my usual calls and the house was full of guys who were home from college...and they had a band (well kind of a band) and were rehearsing!

'Do you play?' one of them asked. 'A bit' I replied, as another one of them passed this beaten up old acoustic guitar to me with a 'come on then smart-ass show us what you can do' look on his face.

FOUR GUYS WITH WIDE EYES AND EVEN WIDER MOUTHS . . .

There are some times in your life when you just feel soooo good...

and this was one of those times. I'm not a 'show off' by nature but just for that few minutes I was revelling in the glory. I casually rattled off half a dozen classic guitar pieces of the day, I still can't remember what I played that day, but I CAN REMEMBER THEIR FACES.

When I'd finished there was no applause. I just passed the guitar back and said 'I better get going guys..' All eyes were on me as I left the room. There was nothing else to say, I'd just let my playing do the talking.

HOW HAD I GOT THAT GOOD IN SUCH A SHORT TIME?

Well there are many ways to learn guitar but they are not all equal. Books and tabs work ok if you have the talent, time and determination. If you are human like me then there is a much better and faster way.

WHATEVER YOU MIGHT THINK... THE GUITAR IS A FOLK INSTRUMENT

And what do you think is the best way to learn how to play a folk instrument? Well for the last few thousand years we've learned by...... Watching folks play it. Yes is IS mind bogglingly simple isn't it.

To this day mankind has found no better way to learn a simple instrument like the guitar, than by getting someone to show us how to do it. That simple fact, that I had learned all those years ago, was the single reason that I started this entire venture.

So....what are you waiting for?

Guitar Chord Lesson - Learn To Play Nice Sounding Guitar Chords In D

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

A guitar is an amazing instrument. Sometimes hard to play but with easy nice sounding guitar chord secrets everywhere. Let's explore some easy but nice guitar chords.

Our first guitar chord will be Dmaj7. It is played in this way for example:

Dmaj: 0/4 2/3 2/2 2/1

An explanation of the notation. The first number indicates which fret to press down. The number after the slash which string. 2/3 means, press down the second fret on the third string.

If you lift up your fingers from this chord you will get a very easy guitar chord to play indeed! We can call it an Em7. It will look this way:

Em7: 0/4 0/3 0/2 0/1

This little chord progression makes a nice little intro to a song in D-major. If we write down a little guitar chord sequense it might look like this:

Dmaj7 / / / Em7 / / / Dmaj7 / / / Em7 / / /

We will now spice the second chord a bit by playing a Gm6. It looks like this:

Gm6: 0/4 3/3 3/2 0/1

We can use this guitar chord in an intro with the same function as the one above:

Dmaj7 / / / Gm6 / / / Dmaj7 / / / Gm6 / / /

Let's introduce a new guitar chord. We can call this chord D11:

D11: 0/4 5/3 5/2 5/1

As you maybe already have figured out you can slide the Dmaj7 chord up a few frets and you will get this chord. We will now create a progression with these three guitar chords:

Dmaj7 / / / D11 / / / Gm6 / / / Gm6 / / /

The next guitar chord is easy to play too. It is a G-minor chord. It is actually the same chord shape as the guitar chord Dmaj7 but on the third fret. It looks like this:

Gm: 0/0 3/3 3/2 3/1

Now we will create a guitar chord progression with these four chords together:

Dmaj7 / / / D11 / / / Gm / / / Gm6 / / /

The art of sliding chords to new frets is an exciting and easy way to find new guitar chords and sounds to use in your playing.

We will end this article on easy guitar chords in D by experimenting a bit with the D-major chord. Here is the most common D-major chord:

D: 0/4 2/3 3/2 2/1

By sliding this guitar chord up three frets up you will get the Dm7 chord or D-minor seventh. It looks like this:

Dm7: 0/4 5/3 6/2 5/1

Slide it up two frets from this position and you will get a G-major chord. It looks like this:

G: 0/4 7/3 8/2 7/1

The last guitar chord to explore will be A-major with D bass, notated A/D. Here it is:

A/D: 0/4 9/3 10/2 9/1

Let's make an impressive intro with these four chords but with the same chord shape by sliding the D-major chord up:

D / / / Dm7 / / / G / / / A/D / / /

The guitar really is an amazing instrument. Many more chords can be changed in similar ways to create new interesting sounds that will enrich your playing!

Is It Easy To Learn To Play The Guitar Online

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Whether you are fifteen or fifty and whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience then you have probably taken a quick look to see what is available online in respect of learning to play the guitar. However, is it really that easy to learn how to play the guitar online or not? I suppose the answer depends on the type of person that you are? But when looking for online guitar lessons there are some things that you need to take into consideration.

1. Is the product that you are looking at offer you both written, audio and video demonstrations? This is especially important to those people who have never played the guitar before. It helps immensely if you are able to see someone else playing the notes because you will not be able to tell if you are doing correctly just by looking at a book. Also your ear will not have developed enough in order for you to recognize if you are playing it accurately or not.

2. To what level of player has the product been designed for? It is important that you look for an online site, which starts with the basics, and then you can gradually build up to more advanced lessons once you have become more confident in your playing abilities.

3. Is the course you are looking at online being taught by a professional guitar teacher? Also are you able to in any way verify that this person can actually play the guitar as well? Learn Guitar Chords - 7 Secrets the Pro's Use

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

If you?re like many guitarists out there who want to learn guitar chords but are having some trouble, then this article is for you. I?ll cover some key aspects that are often overlooked by tutors and ?learn the guitar? products; I guarantee you?ll be able to learn guitar chords much easier after reading this article.

1. Do exercises

Ok, so don?t jump in your car and go to your local gym for workout, it?s just not going to help that much. What I mean by exercises is to do some guitar chord exercises. For example if you are trying to learn the G chord a good exercise to practice would be picking each note and then strumming, this will give you a good idea of how well you have formed the chord. If you?re hitting a lot of dead notes they will become obvious when you pick through each note.

2. Practice in your head

Yes, it sounds silly, but the science and results of this method are stacking up like apartments in Manhattan. If you?re not already trying to learn guitar chords in your head then you?re putting yourself at a severe disadvantage. Try this: Picture yourself holding your guitar, zoom in one the neck where you are going to form the chord. Now put your fingers on the strings and really concentrate on how you are going to get each finger into position. Those of you who already use this method know how powerful it is. If you don?t think it works then I only ask that you try it for one week and see what kind of results you get, you will be pleasantly surprised.

3. Do easy changes

Changing from one chord to another is without a doubt the best way to learn guitar chords. You?re putting yourself under pressure and committing the guitar chord shape to your muscle memory. Once you have it in your muscle memory it becomes a lot easier to form the chord again. Here are some simple changes to try: G Add 9 to C Add 9, A to E, C to G. For more exercises visit our Instant Guitarist website.

4. Build finger strength

Well I told you off for going to the gym earlier, but now it?s not such a silly idea. Building finger strength is often a slow (and sometimes painful) experience, but it doesn?t have to be that way. Practising scales, doing finger weights, and if you?re really keen finger press-ups are all great ways to improve your finger strength. One thing to remember is moderation, don?t over do it, just a few exercises a day should be plenty.

5. Look at other people

Don?t just look at anyone? they might think you?re weird. Look at guitarists! Notice the way they jump from chord to chord and how they are forming each chord. It?s such a good way to learn by example, however I need to give this disclaimer. It?s great, but you need to be careful not to copy bad habits, and a lot of the guitarists out there are limited by the bad habits they pick up from inexperienced tutors and rubbish guitar tutorials.

6. Wear a blind fold

Yeah I guess it does sound a bit rude, but if you want to be the ultimate Zen master and learn guitar chords quickly it?s a good idea to try it out. I don?t really wear a blindfold when I do this method; I just make sure I?m not looking at my hands when changing from one chord to another. To start with it will be too tricky to change chords, just try forming a G without looking at the fret-board, then give it a strum, pick each note and see how well you did. I?ve seen people have great success with this method, so I?m sure this will work for your playing.

7. Three at a time

Learn three chords at a time, I don?t know why this works, but it just does. Maybe it?s a magic number that our brains relate to, who knows? They key thing is that if you pick three guitar chords you want to learn and keep practising them, then you?re going to learn guitar chords a lot faster than if you just pick one or two. I?d recommend starting out with some of the easier ones (D, A, E, G), pick three of those and get to it!

Conclusion

I haven?t put these tips in any particular order; they?re all solid gold tips to being able to learn guitar chords faster than anyone else. I?d suggest writing down each method onto a piece of paper and start using it in your daily practise, you?ll be surprised at how fast you can see results. We have plenty more tips, including free video lessons, photo?s and diagrams at our Instant Guitarist site: www.instantguitarist.com, we also run a blog to keep you up to date with the latest news in the world of guitar, check it out!

Effective Methods To Learn To Play Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Often considered the pastime of teenaged boys, the truth is, people of all types are eager to learn to play guitar. Playing guitar can be rewarding in a variety of ways, whether approached as a casual hobby or with the goal of becoming a serious guitarist. Either way, there are many ways to learn. Which is best for any one person depends on a variety of things, such as the person's natural ability, desired learning speed and personal learning style. Common to each of them is the need for dedication and patience.

Many people choose to start their guitar-playing education by consulting with a guitar teacher. One on one lessons can be very helpful, as there is always someone there to guide you step-by-step, from the very basic skills to more advanced techniques. Teachers can provide valuable feedback, and can clearly demonstrate the proper techniques. They can also adjust lessons to a person's particular skill level and learning pace. This can keep novice players appropriately challenged without demotivating frustration.

For more practical knowledge about how to learn to play guitar, books can be an informative resource. From explaining the techniques and theory involved in guitar playing to illustrating key concepts, books make it possible to re-review sections whenever necessary, or skip past concepts already understood. However, books are limited in their ability to comprehensively describe complex techniques, and often work best in conjunction with other learning methods.

Like books, "learn to play guitar" videos offer flexibility in learning and have the added benefit of being able to explain techniques step by step. Videos make it easy to re-review lessons at the desired pace, and lessons can be repeated as often as necessary until the concepts are well understood. As with books, familiar concepts can be bypassed, allowing the player to focus on the areas that need the most work. Used together with books or private lessons, videos can be very helpful in the learning process.

Regardless of the learning method(s) chosen, there are certain fundamentals that are key to success. Patience is important; very few people are able to pick up a guitar and play complex songs right away. Setting realistic goals and appreciating even progress that seems minor can help avoid frustration and boost motivation. Of course, practice is also vital. The more a person practices, the more natural guitar playing becomes, and what once required concerted effort and thought can become second nature. Practicing reinforces the lessons learned, and lays the groundwork for future learning.

Learning to play the guitar has both its rewards and challenges. With patience and perserverance, even the most novice guitarist can find themselves playing recognizable tunes that previously seemed impossible to master. Whether pursued as a part time hobby, or with the aspirations of becoming a professional guitarist, the choice to learn to play guitar is very rarely regretted.

Effective Methods To Learn Guitar Chords

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

For novice guitar players, learning to play chords can seem daunting. Watching skilled guitarists, it seems effortless, but actually doing it yourself may prove a bit more challenging. However, as with anything, regular practice and an understanding of the basics can make guitar chords more accessible than you think. While playing one-string melodies can be a fun way to get accustomed to guitar playing, the true personality and flavor of guitar music relies on chords.

What is a guitar chord? Simply put, a chord is performed by striking two or more strings on a guitar. More specifically, this generally involves playing some combination of fretted and open strings. For instance, the A5 chord is played by holding down the second fret of the D string, and striking both the A and D string together. The A major, on the hand, requires the second frets of the D, G, and B strings to be held down, and all strings except the low E string to be played.

One of the big challenges in playing guitar chords is the need to use several fingers in a relatively cramped space, while putting even pressure on each fret, all while ensuring you only strike the strings you're supposed to. It can be challenging at first, but it does get easier with practice. Some more complex chords require multiple strings to be fretted by the same finger (barre chords), requiring even more finger flexibility. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of chords is the need to quickly and smoothly transition from one chord to the next. Again, experienced players make this look like a cinch, but it does take some getting used to.

To help learn how to finger certain chords, there are many easy-to-follow tools available to the novice player. Guitar chord diagrams may be the easiest to understand when practicing chords. These are basic diagrams that show the basic layout of a guitar neck (vertically), and notate which frets to press and which strings to strike. Guitar tablature (tabs) work in a similar fashion, and show you how to finger the chord while actually playing a song. Here, the neck is shown horizontally as it would appear if the guitar were laying face up on your lap, and numbers on each string indicate which fret should be held. For example, a "1" on the G string would indicated that the 1st fret should be pressed, while a "0" would mean the string should be played open. No number means the string is not played at all.

While learning guitar chords does take some work, it is well worth the effort. Chords give new depth and richness to guitar music that can't be achieved by playing single strings. Look online for resources for learning how to play different chords, such as chord diagrams and guitar tabs. With perserverance, it won't be long until chords come naturally and require almost no effort or extra thought.

Learn Lead Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Someone who plays lead instrument is the most advanced player of their instrument in their ensemble. There are various aspects which need to be covered while anyone wants to learn lead guitar.

First and foremost the most important is to master the various scales and modes.Even self made runs and scales help an individual enormously while trying to pick up any lead. Many a times we see that an individual is quite good when it comes to picking up cover solos and leads without even the slightest of knowledge about scales and theory but when it comes to self compositions and improvisations on any given chord sequence they find it very difficult to excel in that.So before picking up any solo or learning lead guitar he should be thorough with the content of the scale which would support the chords and rhythm of the particular song.

Once the individual is over with mastering the main scales then comes the techniques involved which one should master again or have some knowledge about while he is trying to learn lead guitar.Few of the concepts popularized today on lead guitar playing are bends, legatos, sweeps, tapping, harmonics. These are the ornamental ingredients which can colour ones solo even more and give it a different feel altogether. While trying to learn lead guitar one should keep in mind that the backbone of any solo is the control and power which enables the solo to become more rich and not just speed and fast picking.

The criteria of a solo while trying to learn lead guitar should not be only the speed and contemporary sound but the theory structure that has been used in order to making the solo even more composed. While trying to learn lead guitar and produce your own solo to sound like your guitar hero the feel is also a very important aspect which one should keep in mind.

The feel could only come withing once an individual is fully confident about the scales and modes to be used in the lead and also the aggression with which he is playing the lead. The aggression and control comes better only when the scales are absolutely mastered. In short anyone trying to learn lead guitar should keep these above facts in mind.

3 Time-Tested Tips For Learning Guitar Chords

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Learning guitar chords may seem daunting for a new guitar player. However, it doesn?t have to be that way. Remember, the guitar professionals were once novices who didn?t have a clue about chords as well! In this article, I will divulge some proven tips for learning chords quickly and easily.

Firstly, let?s define what a guitar chord is. A guitar chord is a collection of tones sounded in harmony by pulling two or more strings on a guitar. It usually requires playing open strings.

Now that we have got the definition out of the way, it is time to get straight down to the methods! Obviously, one of the main difficulties in playing chords is using a few fingers a tight space in an attempt to play a tune. Well, practice makes perfect. You can speed up the process of learning chords by referring to a guitar chord diagram. These diagrams show the organization of the guitar chords you should be playing.

The second tip is to find a song, preferably an easy song, which you like and to try to play the chords to it. Starting with an easy song helps build you competence in chord playing

My third tip is to simply choose a chord family and really practise it until you become really good at it! If you try to learn too many chord families in a short space of time, you may end up with information overload, and you will not be able to learn as quickly. This is a common mistake many beginners make.

Learning guitar chords can be trying at first, but after a while, you will begin to get more comfortable. Getting a large repertoire of guitar chords under your belt is important as it is the base for higher levels of guitar playing.

Learn To Play Guitar Tab - Happy Birthday To You

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

This is the time for you to learn the most popular song in the English language according to Guinness Book of World Records. You do not need to know sheet music. You only need a guitar so let's start!

We will use guitar tab notation which will show you where to put your fingers on your guitar strings as you play. We will explain how to use it later on.

Here are the lyrics:

Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday Dear_____ Happy Birthday To You

Let's learn to play the first line with guitar tab:

Happy Birthday To You

1. ----------------------

2. ---------------1--0---

3. -0--0--2--0-----------

What does the lines and numbers mean? Good question!

The three lines represent the three highest strings on your guitar. Highest in pitch that is! If you hold your guitar the usual way it will be the three strings nearest your feet.

The numbers indicate which fret you are to press down. 0 means that you play a string without pressing down a fret. This is called to play an open string.

The first notes 0 0 2 0 means that you play the third open string twice, then play the second fret on the third string and then back to the third open string.

Hopefully you are recognizing the melody by now!

We will now learn the next line with guitar tab:

Happy Birthday To You

1. ---------------------

2. ---------------3--1--

3. -0--0--2--0----------

What right hand finger should you use? Well, there are many ways to play this song. If you are a complete beginner maybe you can use your right hand thumb to pluck the notes. It should be the easiest way to play the melody, I guess.

We will now learn to play the third line with guitar tab. We will use a name. Let's take the name Peter, that is my name by the way! :

Happy Birthday Dear Peter

1. -------3--0-----------

2. -------------1--0-----

3. -0--0--------------2--

What about the left hand fingers? You can of course use your index finger to play all the notes.

This way to play guitar will work with slow easy pieces but it does not work with more complicated guitar melodies and when you start to play pieces with more than one not at a time.

If you want to learn to play guitar in a more professional way you can use your left hand index finger to play the notes on the first fret, the middle finger to play the notes on the second fret and the ring finger for the third fret.

Time to finish this guitar lesson!

We will now learn to play the last line with the following guitar tab:

Happy Birthday To You

1. --1--1--0-----------

2. -----------1--3--1--

3. --------------------

As all people have a birthday there will be many occasions to play this song! I suggest that you learn the melody by heart, one line at a time.

Learn To Play Guitar Tab - Amazing Grace

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Even if you never have played melodies on your guitar before the time has come now! You will learn to play guitar tab and a very popular melody even if you do not know sheet music notation. Pick up your guitar and let's start!

We will first take a look at the lyrics of the first verse:

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound!

That sav'd a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found

Was blind, but now I see

First you have to learn to play guitar tab notation. Guitar tab or tablature notation is a way of showing how to play notes on your guitar with the help of numbers telling you on which fret to play and on which string:

1. ----------------------

2. ----------------------

3. ----------------------

The three lines represent the three first strings on your guitar. The line at the top named 1. represents the first string or E-string on the guitar.

Now you will learn to play your first guitar tab as we try the first line of lyrics together with the guitar tablature notation of the melody:

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound!

1. ------------0-------0-------------------------

2. -------1-------1--------3-----1--------------

3. --0----------------------------------2----0--

The numbers you see on the guitar tablature staff tell you which fret to play. The number 0 indicates that you shall play a string without pressing down a fret.P>

This is called to play on an open string.

As you can see from this guitar tab notation the first note is on the open third string on your guitar. The next note is on the first fret on the second string.

Time to learn to play the next line of lyrics with the melody on your guitar:

That sav'd a wretch like me!

1. --------------0-------0---------0----3----

2. ---------1-------1---------3---------------

3. ---0----------------------------------------

You can play the notes with your right hand thumb. It is probably the easiest way to pluck the strings for now.

Let us proceed with the third line of lyrics and guitar tab:

I once was lost, but now am found

11. ---0----3----0---------0-------------------------

2. --------------------1--------3----1----------------

3. -----------------------------------------2----0----

Maybe you are pressing down the guitar frets with your right hand index finger.

If you want to prepare for more difficult guitar melodies you can try to play the notes on the first fret with your index finger, the notes on the second fret with your middle finger and the notes on the third fret with your ring finger.

Now we will learn to play the guitar tab for the last line of lyrics and complete this guitar lesson:

Was blind, but now I see

1. ---------------0--------0---------------

2. ----------1--------1------- 3----1----

3. ----0-----------------------------------

We have now completed this guitar lesson and you have learned to play the melody to Amazing Grace!

You have also learned to understand the use of guitar tab notation. You can find many more popular songs written with tablature on the internet.

5 Lessons for Learning Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Coming home from the store with your first guitar is an exciting time. The anticipation of mastering a new instrument is absolutely invigorating. But whether you plan on playing for sold-out audiences, or simply for your friends and family, there are some simple things you can do to accelerate the learning process. As with any new talent, learning guitar is a lifelong process. By maximizing your practice habits you can clear the roadblocks and become the best guitarist you can be.

Slow Down This first tip doesn?t apply to everyone, but it is important enough to mention first. So many budding guitarists start with trying to play their favorite songs. Many of these have accelerated rhythms that set unrealistic expectations for first-timers. It is important to start your guitar education with short, simple, and slower songs. Remember, you need to crawl before you walk!

Practice Regularly This may seem like an obvious piece of advice, but you would be surprised to find that few people follow it. Many people assume they can make strides in their guitar proficiency by picking up their guitar at any spare moment they have. While this may work for some, the majority of guitar students need to set some sort of schedule for practicing. You don?t need to change your lifestyle, but you should set aside at least a half-hour per day to practice. Following a schedule not only brings regularity to your lessons, but it also eliminates distractions that interrupt your concentration.

Rhythm and Timing You could be the best guitar player in the world, but if you can?t keep a rhythm than you will never play with anyone else but yourself. Playing in a band or even just accompanying vocal tracks means that you must keep pace with the music around you. The role of the guitarists is to feed into energy of the song, not have the song work itself around the guitar. Be sure to invest in a metronome, which will help you monitor your rhythms and develop better timing.

Stay Positive Always remember that no one was born a guitarist. It is a learned skill that takes time to master. Some people will adapt more easily to the finger movements and hand commands required when playing. Hopefully you will be one of them, but you could also be someone who needs more time to develop. The thing to keep in mind is that guitar is supposed to be fun. If you find yourself discouraged, than it may be time to take a break. Take a couple of days off and come back to the things you were doing well. Once you have built up confidence again you can proceed to the next lesson.

Invest in Instruction You wouldn?t want a plumber to teach you rocket science, so don?t expect to learn guitar from yourself. There are thousands of great resources for guitar lessons, but choosing the right one depends solely on your tastes. For some, regular sessions with a guitar instructor work best. Others prefer to read books and listen or watch recorded lessons. Either way, you need to have a reliable resource to refer to when you get stumped. Personally, I would recommend starting with a beginner?s book or online instruction because it is cheaper, and you can learn at your own pace. These formats also offer the opportunity to replay or rewind lessons so you can access them whenever you like.

So there are my 5 quick lessons to help you get started with your new guitar. Did you learn anything about finger movements or string picking? No, but hopefully you did learn the importance of having a sound strategy in place before your pick up your guitar. For those who are interested in online instruction, I am a big fan of the Jamorama Guitar System. In fact, I have dedicated an entire website to a review of the product.

Don?t frustrate your self by trying to learn the guitar on your own. There are simple strategies you can use to become a better guitar player right now. Visit EasyToLearnGuitar.com and become the guitar player you dream to be.

Learn To Play Guitar Tab - Auld Lang Syne

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Today you will learn to play a popular melody with guitar tab. You do not need to know sheet music notation. Let me show you guitar tablature!

Here are the lyrics of the first verse and chorus:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot

and never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot

and auld lang syne ?

For auld lang syne, my dear

for auld lang syne

we?ll take a cup o? kindness yet

for auld lang syne

Below you have an example of a guitar tab staff. The lines represent the three first strings on your guitar, that is, the strings with the highest pitch.

The line number one represent the first string.

1. ----------------------

2. ----------------------

3. ----------------------

On this guitar tab staff you will find numbers showing which frets you need to press down to play the melody.

Now you will start to read the guitar tab for the first part of the lyrics:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot

1. -------------------------0------------------------

2. -------1----0----1------------3-----1-----3---

3. --0-----------------------------------------------

The number 0 on the third string tells you to play this string without pressing down a fret. In other words you will play the open third string.

The next note is on the first fret on the second string. Press down the first fret and play the note.

I suggest that you pluck the notes with your right hand thumb.

Time for the next line of lyrics and guitar tab:

and never brought to mind?

1. ---0----------------------0-----3-----5----

2. ---------3----1----1------------------------

3. ----------------------------------------------

The first two notes in the tablature will be used for the word "and" in the lyrics.

What about the left hand fingers? You can use your index finger to press down all frets as you play.

This is a very common way to play guitar for beginners.

In the long run a better way to use your left hand fingers is to play all notes on the first fret with your index, the notes on the second fret with your middle finger and the third fret notes with your ring finger.

In the special case above with the fifth fret I suggest that you slide your ring finger from fret three to fret five.

Yes, it is true that it is a bit awkward to use the ring finger but believe me it will soon get used to the new tasks and be of great benefit in your guitar playing!

Here are the third line of the verse and the tablature:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot

1. ----5----3------0-----0-------------------------------

2. -------------------------------1-----3----1-----3-----

3. ---------------------------------------------------------

The last line of the verse is here:

and auld lang syne?

and guitar tab:

1. ----0--------------------------------------------

2. -----------3-----1-------------------------1----

3. -------------------------2-----2-----0----------

By now you already now quite well how to read guitar tablature notation so I will give you the lyrics and the guitar tabs right on:

For auld lang syne, my dear

1. ----5----3----0----0---------------------------------

2. ----------------------------1-----3-----1-----3------

3. --------------------------------------------------------

for auld lang syne

1. -----5-----3-----0-----0----3-----5------

2. ---------------------------------------------

3. ---------------------------------------------

we?ll take a cup o? kindness yet

1. ----5----3----0-----0--------------------------------

2. ----------------------------1------3-------1-----3---

3. --------------------------------------------------------

for auld lang syne

1. ----0-------------------------------------------------

2. -----------3------1------------------------------1---

3. --------------------------2-------2------0-----------
