Where To Start To Learn To Play The Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

Where to start to learn to play the guitar?

Are you someone who is completely new to learning to play the guitar? Are you someone aspiring to become like Eric Clapton one day or even just the neighborhood guitar hero? But you do not know where to start and how to start, right? Everyone guitar enthusiasts encounter such a situation when beginning to learn the guitar. The recipes to effectively play the guitar are a plenty. People can play the guitar by learning from friends, family, and private tutors or even by watching others. One thing every guitar enthusiast would agree with me is though there maybe several recipes out there, there are certain vital ingredients that need to be present, to successfully master a musical instrument like the guitar.

The fist and foremost being discipline - discipline to practise, practise and more practise. I know you are trying to rebut now.Yes.Practise, but how can I even start practicing if I do not know where to start? Many guitar enthusiasts I know of hire private tutors or even enroll themselves in music schools, paying hundreds of dollar by the month or even get charged by the hour. In learning any musical insturment, the cycle starts from theory, then practise. You need to have a good grounding on the theoretical knowledge of guitar. To learn the theory, my ultimatum to you, would be not to enroll in schools or even hire private tutors. Leverage on the power of online learning! To get a good grounding on learning the guitar, one have to invest in a good program that can feed the knowledge in a easy and effective manner. A good program would be created with the complete guitar novice in mind. It starts of with teaching the parts of the guitar, how the sound is made, what are the different notes and such. It takes an incremental approach where the pace can be adjusted as and when.

This is only feasible in online programs/softwares. Once a good grounding is achieved, practise must commence with simple notes and tabs. It is this stage which would determine how more complex tabs you would play in the future. You cannot go anywhere without a good grounding of the basics. This is the stage where one should mix around with like guitar enthusiasts and leverage on the dynamics of team learning. You do not need to be scrutinized by tutors who charge hundreds like water. Learning will be at peak if you do it with people whom you enjoy being with. There are several guitar programs online which claim to be amazing or fabulous but many others alike find only one program which provides what it promises so far. Please check out here for more information on the program. I wish you a very good luck on your embarkation on the journey to master the guitar. God bless.

Riss Shachat is a 24 year old recent guitar enthusiast who has found great success in learning to play the guitar with a wonderful online guitar program.

How to Learn the Guitar Online?

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

How to learn the guitar online? This is the question most frequently asked by the beginner. When I started to learn the guitar, I paid thousands of dollars to my guitar teacher. However, when I researched the internet, I discovered that I could have the opportunity learn to play the guitar online for less than hundreds of dollars or even for free.

When I discovered how to learn the guitar online, I was very frustrated because it is so inexpensive. I have been taking lessons twice per week in guitar learning centers such as Yamaha, at an hourly rate of about $30 per hour for basic lessons like guitar tabulators, basic guitar chords, how to strum, and how to play classical music with a few simple fingering methods. However, you can learn the guitar online for free or complete a more advanced guitar course without spending several thousand dollars a year.

Learn to play the guitar online is easier than learning from a private teacher. Online guitar lessons include graphics, animated images, video tutorials and demo sounds to make it easier for you to learn. They will help you to start playing a song on your guitar within a short period by enhancing your learning process with tutorials that utilize your senses of sight, sound, and touch.

Most people learn the guitar online not to become a superstar or to play like a pro. They just want to play a few songs that can be performed in front of crowds, and they want to start playing songs as soon as possible. Online guitar training can suit their needs. A person can start playing songs within a week by following the online step-by-step video tutorials and, with practice, will soon play like a pro.

How to learn the guitar online can also be attractive because of the "hear and play" techniques. It is very important to train yourself to be sensitive to music, especially guitar songs. Learning the guitar online will provide you with more details on how to play a song after listening to it. This is a high-level technique that uses your senses, subliminal mind and imagination, and it?s more easily learned online than from a private teacher.

Guitar Learning Lessons: Learning to Play Guitar is Still a Pretty Cool Thing to Do

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

"Though even I admit I was the unlikeliest Guitar Player they had ever met before. . . "

There IS a way to quickly master this instrument of torture (otherwise known as the guitar)

The exact date has long since gone from my memory, but I CAN still remember how good it felt AND more importantly how unlikely the situation was.

Imagine me . . . I was 22 years old and had been playing for less than 18 months. My fulltime job, the one that fed the twin boys we had, and kept the roof above our heads, was as a door to door insurance agent. OK so it wasn't glamourous but it paid the mortgage on the tiny house we had.

Most days I wore a cheap suit and travelled round on a 50cc motor cycle. Visiting clients in their own homes and collecting their weekly premiums and trying (not very well in those days) to sell them more life/car/house insurance.

The only good part about that job was meeting people in the evenings and getting to spend most of the daytime with my kids and indulging my new found passion . . . the guitar.

I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT FIRST DREW ME TO THE GUITAR

I can't remember what first drew me to the guitar. I can remember the smell of the wood and the sound of the strings and the feel of the thing but not the reason I was drawn to it so completely.

I remember the first time I tried to hold down a chord. The pain was unbelievable. I remember thinking surely it can't feel like this when you play...otherwise why would anyone do it?

THEN I STARTED TO THINK . . . THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE

When I read those first books on guitar, not one of them mentioned that it actually hurt your fingers. They all made it sound so easy. 'Hold down a G chord and strum four times . . then change to a C and Woah... wait a minute ....THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE.

I admit that I am a very compulsive and driven person, but I couldn't see how I was going to get past holding down those first couple of chords. I'd bought a few books by now and had a go at some tabs, but I was getting nowhere. Couldn't play a damn song to save my life . . . but I could hold down a G chord . . . well yippidee dah!

THE STORY COULD HAVE ENDED RIGHT THERE . . .

The story could very easily have ended right there had it not been for a little coincidence. The house next door to ours was vacant and the owner asked if I could show potential tenants round if they showed up.

I said yes and one day a guy turned up to look at the house and he had a guitar case with him. I asked him if he could play and he said yes...and took out the guitar and started turning me green with envy.

The story races on here...he moved in and we became great friends despite the fact that I was round there every night (almost every night) for the next 12 months. Paul was very patient with me, I think because he could see how enthusiastic I was, and taught me just about everything he knew.

A year later we both realised that I had more of a talent for guitar than he did but with his patience and his willingness to show me (sometimes over and over again for hours) I had learned at a pace that was breathtaking.

THEY WERE GOING TO REGRET THIS . . .

So here we were about 18 months after I had first picked up a guitar, a room full of smirking wannabe 'musicians' all looking cool with long hair, torn jeans, smiling at this dude in the cheap suit who had asked to look at one of the guitars.

I had turned up at one of my usual calls and the house was full of guys who were home from college...and they had a band (well kind of a band) and were rehearsing!

'Do you play?' one of them asked. 'A bit' I replied, as another one of them passed this beaten up old acoustic guitar to me with a 'come on then smart-ass show us what you can do' look on his face.

FOUR GUYS WITH WIDE EYES AND EVEN WIDER MOUTHS . . .

There are some times in your life when you just feel soooo good...

and this was one of those times. I'm not a 'show off' by nature but just for that few minutes I was revelling in the glory. I casually rattled off half a dozen classic guitar pieces of the day, I still can't remember what I played that day, but I CAN REMEMBER THEIR FACES.

When I'd finished there was no applause. I just passed the guitar back and said 'I better get going guys..' All eyes were on me as I left the room. There was nothing else to say, I'd just let my playing do the talking.

HOW HAD I GOT THAT GOOD IN SUCH A SHORT TIME?

Well there are many ways to learn guitar but they are not all equal. Books and tabs work ok if you have the talent, time and determination. If you are human like me then there is a much better and faster way.

WHATEVER YOU MIGHT THINK... THE GUITAR IS A FOLK INSTRUMENT

And what do you think is the best way to learn how to play a folk instrument? Well for the last few thousand years we've learned by...... Watching folks play it. Yes is IS mind bogglingly simple isn't it.

To this day mankind has found no better way to learn a simple instrument like the guitar, than by getting someone to show us how to do it. That simple fact, that I had learned all those years ago, was the single reason that I started this entire venture.

So....what are you waiting for?

Learn Guitar Chords - 7 Secrets the Pro's Use

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

If you?re like many guitarists out there who want to learn guitar chords but are having some trouble, then this article is for you. I?ll cover some key aspects that are often overlooked by tutors and ?learn the guitar? products; I guarantee you?ll be able to learn guitar chords much easier after reading this article.

1. Do exercises

Ok, so don?t jump in your car and go to your local gym for workout, it?s just not going to help that much. What I mean by exercises is to do some guitar chord exercises. For example if you are trying to learn the G chord a good exercise to practice would be picking each note and then strumming, this will give you a good idea of how well you have formed the chord. If you?re hitting a lot of dead notes they will become obvious when you pick through each note.

2. Practice in your head

Yes, it sounds silly, but the science and results of this method are stacking up like apartments in Manhattan. If you?re not already trying to learn guitar chords in your head then you?re putting yourself at a severe disadvantage. Try this: Picture yourself holding your guitar, zoom in one the neck where you are going to form the chord. Now put your fingers on the strings and really concentrate on how you are going to get each finger into position. Those of you who already use this method know how powerful it is. If you don?t think it works then I only ask that you try it for one week and see what kind of results you get, you will be pleasantly surprised.

3. Do easy changes

Changing from one chord to another is without a doubt the best way to learn guitar chords. You?re putting yourself under pressure and committing the guitar chord shape to your muscle memory. Once you have it in your muscle memory it becomes a lot easier to form the chord again. Here are some simple changes to try: G Add 9 to C Add 9, A to E, C to G. For more exercises visit our Instant Guitarist website.

4. Build finger strength

Well I told you off for going to the gym earlier, but now it?s not such a silly idea. Building finger strength is often a slow (and sometimes painful) experience, but it doesn?t have to be that way. Practising scales, doing finger weights, and if you?re really keen finger press-ups are all great ways to improve your finger strength. One thing to remember is moderation, don?t over do it, just a few exercises a day should be plenty.

5. Look at other people

Don?t just look at anyone? they might think you?re weird. Look at guitarists! Notice the way they jump from chord to chord and how they are forming each chord. It?s such a good way to learn by example, however I need to give this disclaimer. It?s great, but you need to be careful not to copy bad habits, and a lot of the guitarists out there are limited by the bad habits they pick up from inexperienced tutors and rubbish guitar tutorials.

6. Wear a blind fold

Yeah I guess it does sound a bit rude, but if you want to be the ultimate Zen master and learn guitar chords quickly it?s a good idea to try it out. I don?t really wear a blindfold when I do this method; I just make sure I?m not looking at my hands when changing from one chord to another. To start with it will be too tricky to change chords, just try forming a G without looking at the fret-board, then give it a strum, pick each note and see how well you did. I?ve seen people have great success with this method, so I?m sure this will work for your playing.

7. Three at a time

Learn three chords at a time, I don?t know why this works, but it just does. Maybe it?s a magic number that our brains relate to, who knows? They key thing is that if you pick three guitar chords you want to learn and keep practising them, then you?re going to learn guitar chords a lot faster than if you just pick one or two. I?d recommend starting out with some of the easier ones (D, A, E, G), pick three of those and get to it!

Conclusion

I haven?t put these tips in any particular order; they?re all solid gold tips to being able to learn guitar chords faster than anyone else. I?d suggest writing down each method onto a piece of paper and start using it in your daily practise, you?ll be surprised at how fast you can see results. We have plenty more tips, including free video lessons, photo?s and diagrams at our Instant Guitarist site: www.instantguitarist.com, we also run a blog to keep you up to date with the latest news in the world of guitar, check it out!

5 Lessons for Learning Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Coming home from the store with your first guitar is an exciting time. The anticipation of mastering a new instrument is absolutely invigorating. But whether you plan on playing for sold-out audiences, or simply for your friends and family, there are some simple things you can do to accelerate the learning process. As with any new talent, learning guitar is a lifelong process. By maximizing your practice habits you can clear the roadblocks and become the best guitarist you can be.

Slow Down This first tip doesn?t apply to everyone, but it is important enough to mention first. So many budding guitarists start with trying to play their favorite songs. Many of these have accelerated rhythms that set unrealistic expectations for first-timers. It is important to start your guitar education with short, simple, and slower songs. Remember, you need to crawl before you walk!

Practice Regularly This may seem like an obvious piece of advice, but you would be surprised to find that few people follow it. Many people assume they can make strides in their guitar proficiency by picking up their guitar at any spare moment they have. While this may work for some, the majority of guitar students need to set some sort of schedule for practicing. You don?t need to change your lifestyle, but you should set aside at least a half-hour per day to practice. Following a schedule not only brings regularity to your lessons, but it also eliminates distractions that interrupt your concentration.

Rhythm and Timing You could be the best guitar player in the world, but if you can?t keep a rhythm than you will never play with anyone else but yourself. Playing in a band or even just accompanying vocal tracks means that you must keep pace with the music around you. The role of the guitarists is to feed into energy of the song, not have the song work itself around the guitar. Be sure to invest in a metronome, which will help you monitor your rhythms and develop better timing.

Stay Positive Always remember that no one was born a guitarist. It is a learned skill that takes time to master. Some people will adapt more easily to the finger movements and hand commands required when playing. Hopefully you will be one of them, but you could also be someone who needs more time to develop. The thing to keep in mind is that guitar is supposed to be fun. If you find yourself discouraged, than it may be time to take a break. Take a couple of days off and come back to the things you were doing well. Once you have built up confidence again you can proceed to the next lesson.

Invest in Instruction You wouldn?t want a plumber to teach you rocket science, so don?t expect to learn guitar from yourself. There are thousands of great resources for guitar lessons, but choosing the right one depends solely on your tastes. For some, regular sessions with a guitar instructor work best. Others prefer to read books and listen or watch recorded lessons. Either way, you need to have a reliable resource to refer to when you get stumped. Personally, I would recommend starting with a beginner?s book or online instruction because it is cheaper, and you can learn at your own pace. These formats also offer the opportunity to replay or rewind lessons so you can access them whenever you like.

So there are my 5 quick lessons to help you get started with your new guitar. Did you learn anything about finger movements or string picking? No, but hopefully you did learn the importance of having a sound strategy in place before your pick up your guitar. For those who are interested in online instruction, I am a big fan of the Jamorama Guitar System. In fact, I have dedicated an entire website to a review of the product.

Don?t frustrate your self by trying to learn the guitar on your own. There are simple strategies you can use to become a better guitar player right now. Visit EasyToLearnGuitar.com and become the guitar player you dream to be.

Learn Guitar Improvisation By Faking

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

A fake book can really help you a lot in developing your improvisational skills. If you choose just one of the songs you will find a source to many exercises that will help you become a much better guitarist.

Do you know what a fake book is?

A fake book is made in a very compact format containing a lot of songs. This is possible because you will usually only find the melody of a song and the chords of a song.

The melody is written out with sheet music notation and maybe guitar tablature and if it is a song you can find the lyrics beneath the melody. The chords to play you will find above the notes.

Because this is a compact way of writing down songs a fake book can contain more than 500 songs.

This very rudimentary way to write down the songs gives you as a guitarist an opportunity to use your own musical taste when you interpret the songs.

The songs will usually only contain very basic chord progressions. When you hear these songs played the songs are often spiced up with more interesting chords. Often there are also more chords used which will make the chord progressions more interesting and exciting musically.

The act of trying to find more chords to use in a song and to spice up existing chords is an excellent exercise in chord theory. As you are working with a song you are interested in and also will use the exercise in you actual guitar playing you will be more motivated to do a good job.

You can now practice the new chords in the song. Concentrate on one chord at a time. There are many ways to practice a chord by for example playing the chord in various positions and with different voicings.

You can now take the chord practice a step further by using your new chord progressions in the song and practice changing chords. Take a few bars of the song and practice to play the progressions on your guitar as you vary the chord voicings.

When you have decided which chords you will use in a song you can use these chords to find suitable scales to use in your guitar improvisation. You can find many scale books on the net with suggestions on which scale to use for various chord progressions.

We will use the first chord of the song you are working on to show how you can find out which scale to use. If your first chord is a C-major chord you can choose between for example a C-major scale or a C-major pentatonic scale. The principle is to find a scale that contains the notes in the chord.

Now it is time to actually practice playing the scales on your guitar. Start with the first chord in the song and continue the same way with the other chords. First, strum the chord on your guitar and practice playing the suitable scale up and down in various positions and patterns.

Actually it is very common that you can use the same scale to many chords in a song. For example, the C-major scale will work together with the chords C-major, G7, Dm, Am and so on.

Now when you have mastered playing the suitable scales to the chords you can start to work on improving your improvisational skills by taking the previous method a little bit further. Strum a chord and use the scale you have chosen to create your own patterns, melodies and licks.

You are now prepared to improvise over the chord progressions you have written down using the scales you have chosen. The exciting part is when you come to a bar with a new scale to use. If you find it hard to change scale during your improvisation it might be a good idea to concentrate working on this skill for a while.

That means, use two scales and try to alternate between them as you continue to improvise maybe a couple of bars over each scale.

You can use a song in many other ways developing your skills in guitar improvisation. This should of course be a positive exercise leading you towards the goal to be able to play the song from start to end with melody and improvisation as you would like to play it in public.

Learning How To Play Guitar Songs Should Be Fun, Not Work

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

It is a universally known fact that when people do not enjoy doing an activity they will do everything in their power to avoid it. Several of us have had experience with this concept when we were taught musical instruments as children. We have memories about playing boring scales and being forced to practice endless chord progressions. Being taught to perform on a musical instrument does not have to be dull. In fact, it should be fun rather than work.

The right education system will teach students not only that practicing is a vital part of learning a musical instrument, but also that practicing can be a very enjoyable activity. When you love your instrument and you love your education program, you will love to practice. That is why it is very important that when you learn how to play guitar you are also being taught the right practice strategies.

Sitting down to start practicing should be an activity that is actually thought of as sitting down to play. The musician should not view practicing as a chore, but rather a great pastime. In order to ensure that this course is good, you must make sure that the student is always engaged. An exciting how to play guitar course will keep the student?s interest and keep them wanting more.

The first thing that a great system will provide is the immediate opportunity for the student to start playing. This means that right from the first lesson the student should have their instrument out and be strumming along. By creating this atmosphere the program is demonstrating to the student that they will see instant results and quick improvements in their skill. By getting them playing as soon as possible, a program has students learn how to play guitar immediately.

The second thing that an engaging system will provide is better alternatives to tablature music. Musicality has made such great advancements that musicians no longer have to rely on difficult to read tabs. Instead, students should be taught methods such as quick reading music, sight reading, and even playing by ear. Being able to learn how to play guitar through these avenues is much more enjoyable and effective.

Finally, students will enjoy a musical education program so much more if they actually like the songs they are being taught. There is a tradition in music that seems to require that students be forced to learn old and out of date music. This music does not get the students excited. Instead, students should be able to learn how to play guitar by practicing on the songs they love. This way they will be excited to start strumming and show off to their friends.

A perfect musical education system that provides great incentive for students to practice is the Guitar Express system. This program is offered at http://www.guitarcoaching.com and it provides many other valuable features for musicians of any level. For example, the FAQ webpage found here provides professionally written answers to some of the most common questions in the industry.

An Introduction To Learning To Play The Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

The guitar is a stringed musical instrument that is played by plucking or strumming the strings, while the fingers hold down the strings in certain combinations, to play the notes. Most guitars have six strings that are tuned on the scale E A D G B E. There are two broad categories of guitars today, acoustic and electric.

Acoustic guitars have hollow bodies, called sound boxes, which produce the sound, and thus do not need amplification. However, some modern ones do come with the electronics so that it can be connected to an amplifier. On the other hand, the body of an electric guitar is solid on only semi-hollow and needs to be connected to an amplifier to be heard.

Thanks to the electronics you can produce all kinds of effects and sounds with an electric guitar that is very hard or impossible to reproduce on an acoustic guitar. Samples of the special effects that can be produced on an electric guitar are: distortion, wah, phasers, compression, vibrato, flanging and chorus effect. These effects cause the sound produced by the same note to be different. For example:

- Distortion effect. This will produce a distorted and very heavy sound, as often used in heavy metal and rock music.

- Wah effect. The frequency of the note goes up and down each time you hit the foot pedal.

- Flanging effect. This effect causes a pause in the signal, followed by a series of the note originally played, sounding like an echo.

The guitar is used to play almost any kind of music, and is usually a big part of the music played by a band. Learning to play a guitar can be exciting and is a great way to entertain yourself and your friend.

When you decide to learn to play the guitar you will also have to learn tablatures and sheet music. Guitar sheet music is useful to guide you when learning to play the guitar, as you just have to follow the notes and tablatures illustrated on the sheet music. It is a great tool to help you play your guitar. By practicing frequently and being dedicated to learning the notes, you will soon be playing like an expert.

I Finally Learned How To Play Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

I sucked at playing guitar for a long time, even though I have always loved rock music since I was 5 years old. I have always wanted to learn how to play guitar from my love of the music. I admit, I, like many of you reading this, had your old standard acoustic guitar that you have noodled on every so often hoping you will figure out how to play something, ANYTHING to start getting the hang of playing.

The frustration of wanting to learn something but not knowing where to start can be very daunting and can cause anyone to just give up without the right guidance. I have tried everything to learn on my own without formal instruction because I have always felt that because I absolutely love rock music so much, that I would just intuitively be able to play. At the time I thought this would never happen. I then looked for some books on playing and bought a few and did learn some of the basics but none of them really were that helpful and I gave up on those.

I also joined a lot of forums on playing guitar and read about tips for new players and some of these were good but I still felt held back and lost. But one day while searching the web I came across a page for "Riff Master Pro". At first the name sounded totally ridiculous to me but I decided to click it and read down the whole page and watched the sample clip also. THIS is what really intrigued me, as it showed that any mp3 I have can be played through this program and it can be slowed down without losing tempo!

Now at this point I had learned some basics from a few books and tabs and I was getting my feet wet. So this program did seem to be pretty innovative. I then decided to buy it and DL it. The interface was very user-friendly and I was learning pretty quickly. The slow-down feature works WITHOUT losing the pitch too. You can also loop any riff over and over to learn at your own pace.

Now that I have been using Riff Master Pro I have become a much better guitar player and am starting to have the intuitive ability that I knew was deep down in me. Since using this program I have learned to play about 40 songs in their entirety on my guitar! If you want to learn how to play and have reached a "player's block" then I would recommend this program because it is great. Thanks for reading!

Learn To Play Rock Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Although the electric guitar has originated in blues music, it is rock that gave its popularity. With rock music, the electric guitar became a massively expressive instrument. All guitar lessons have to touch on rock as well, but if you want to learn to play rock guitar, there are special modules you can take up. These modules focus almost exclusively on rock music.

The things you will be taught when you learn to play rock guitar can be roughly spread into three modules: first lessons, where you will learn the basics about playing the guitar, electric guitar improver and power chords.

First Lessons

These lessons are mostly for beginners. If you have some knowledge about playing the guitar, you may skip some of these. This is up to your teacher to decide.

However, if you're holding a guitar for the first time, this is where your teacher will usually start. You will be taught the fundamentals about playing a guitar in general and playing rock guitar in particular. You will learn the basics about rock lead guitar and power chords. After these first lessons, you will have some idea on how to play classic rock guitar. If you get these right, you are on your way to actually playing rock guitar.

Electric Guitar Improver

In the next lessons, you will probably be taught various rock techniques, such as sliding, string-bending, pull-offs, vibrato and hammer-ons. These tips will enable you to play some fairly good rock solos. You will also learn about scales and chords that will help you start making up your own music.

There might be a lot of blues references within these lessons. Going through all these will help you understand the relation between blues and rocks, which is essential if you want to learn to play rock guitar like a pro.

Power Chords

Power chords are two or three string distorted sounding chords used in some of the most popular rock songs of all times. You will learn to play several rock songs during the first few lessons of this module. Afterwards you will be very familiar with the fretboard and surprise yourself with the sounds you will be able to play.

If you seriously want to learn to play rock guitar, don't get frustrated or discouraged if you're not playing the way you would like to at the beginning. If you enjoy playing, the progress will come at some point. Find a guitar teacher you communicate well with, design a workable schedule to practice and, most importantly, try to have fun while you're learning.

Learn To Play The Guitar By Ear

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

All professional musicians, whether they're playing jazz, rock, bluegrass and country music, have spent their first years of practicing bent over a half speed record player. You might be wondering what does this have to do with trying to learn to play the guitar by ear. As you will learn from this article, it actually has a lot to do with it.

Slowing Things Down

In order to learn to play the guitar by ear you have to begin with learning the melodies, chords and leads from a recording. To be able to do this, you've got to slow them down a bit. Some exceptionally gifted people with really good ears are able to learn to play some slow songs just by listening to them at a normal speed. However, even those folks have problems with learning faster melodies and need to slow things down.

Most of us can't even figure out slow songs just by listening to them at a normal speed. While most of us can match a note with our guitar or voice if it's the only thing we're hearing, we tend to get confused when lots of notes are played together. If you slow the music down, we can separate the notes and play them piece by piece until we learn the whole song.

Slowdown Technology

Years ago, the slowing down process was done using half speed tape recorders. However, as you slowed the music down, the pitch dropped. By the time you got to half speed, the pitch had already dropped a lot. Anyway, for most of us, half speed is still to fast. You will probably need a 1/10 speed in order to figure out certain pieces.

Fortunately, nowadays everything has been made easier with the aid of digital slowdown technology. You can now slow the melody down as much as you want, without having the pitch dropping.

Do You Really Have to Put So Much Work Into It?

You're probably thinking that spending so much time on figuring out each note yourself must be awfully hard. Why not just buy a book and get over this part?

Of course, you can buy a book, but, as it usually happens with all music theory books, it will probably be gathering dust on your bookshelf forever. If you really want to learn to play the guitar by ear, you will have to get involved in the process and figure out the notes from a melody yourself.

While figuring out note by note on your own is the best way to go, consulting a transcription book from time to time while you're trying to figure out the music is also good. Some beginner guitar players who want to learn to play the guitar by ear learn from a transcription book first and then play along with the original recording at a slower pace to get the rhythm.

You should learn to play the guitar by ear just because this way you get the most fun. Playing the guitar should be fun and this is why you should have started to learn it in the first place. However, the more you time you invest into the learning process by getting involved in practical activities, the faster the progress.

Learn to Play Guitar - aan Overview

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

If you want to learn to play guitar, there are a variety of teaching options to get you started. From the internet to the classroom, there is no shortage on available lessons.

If you would like to hire an instructor to help you learn to play guitar, consider a professional music teacher or someone who has a lot of past experience in music. The first thing that you will learn is how to read music and apply the various chords correctly. At first, the guitar may seem intimidating because there are various strings and chords to learn. But, after a few lessons, you will be able to recognize the finger placement without even looking. If you remember learning to type, it began as the one finger poking method and looking at each key before touching it. But after some practice, you begin to recognize the placement of each key by memory. The same is true when you learn to play guitar.

It may be a good idea to learn to play guitar on a beginner level before hiring an instructor. Become familiar with the strings by purchasing an instruction book or instructional video. These type of manuals offer an introduction to the strings and guitar chords, their placement and offer several pieces of simple sheet music to familiarize the reader with playing. By reading closely, or watching an instructional video, you will enter into guitar lessons with more confidence. Rather than starting from scratch, your instructor will notice that you will likely learn to play guitar a lot faster than true beginner students.

If you aren?t comfortable starting on your own, there is nothing wrong with entering guitar lessons as a beginner. After all, that?s what the lessons are for. For practice purposes, it is a good idea to have access to a guitar. Your instructor may or may not ask that you practice but, if you do, it will help you to be better prepared for the next lesson.

When selecting an instructor, you have the option to learn to play guitar online or in person. Many tutors work one-on-one with students while others offer instruction to a group of students, which is similar to a music class. Online instruction is for anyone who doesn?t want to leave home or doesn?t have the time to attend regular classes. In addition, hiring a private tutor can be beneficial to avoid scheduling conflicts because they can be more flexible than class schedules, which cannot be changed.

Learn To Play Guitar: A Little Touch Of Guitar Improvisation

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

I would like to present a few small tips on how to improvise on your guitar with a pentatonic scale in A-minor. We will use two chords and make the whole thing quite impressive. Grab your guitar and come on!

Guitar improvisation is not a completely uncomprehensible art that cannot be learned. You can practice the art of improvisation by learning scales, learning patterns to use in improvisation, by composing melodies on your guitar and by simply improvising a lot.

When you learn to play guitar I think it's a good thing to use time to experiment with chords and scales. This will help you develop your creativity and your own style of playing.

The following exercises will show you a way to practice scales and chords together.

First I would like to give you two chords you can use. The first chord is A7 and you can play it in the open position like this:

1. --0--- 2. --2--- 3. --0--- 4. --2--- 5. --0--- 6. ------

Now we will look at a small lick in the fift position on the guitar. This mean that you place your left hand on the neck with the first finger on the fifth fret. Here is the lick:

1. --5--8--5-----5-- 2. -----------8-----

I suggest that you first play the A7 chord on your guitar by strumming once over the strings and after that playing the lick.

Now we will add the D7 chord. It looks like this in the open position:

1. --2--- 2. --1--- 3. --2--- 4. --0--- 5. ------ 6. ------

With two guitar chords at your disposal you can play this:

A7 - lick - D7 - lick - A7

You will now learn another lick to make this piece of guitar improvisational music more interesting:

1. --------5--8--5-- 2. --5--8-----------

With this lick we have introduced one more note in the A-minor pentatonic scale. With two licks and two chords we can play the guitar piece as follows:

A7 - lick 1 - D7 - lick 2 - A7

Of course you can learn to combine the notes in many ways. I will give you some more notes in the A-minor pentatonic scale if you want to improvise more freely. Here are seven notes in the A-minor pentatonic scale in the fifth position:

1. -----------------5--8---- 2. -----------5--8---------- 3. -----5--7---------------- 4. --7----------------------

Learn to play this guitar scale by heart. After that you can try to combine the notes in different ways. Create patterns or play the scale backwards or try to create interesting melodies. The last touch of guitar improvisation looks like this:

A7 - improvisation - D7 - improvisation - A7

You can of course use this guitar improvisation pattern with other chords and scales. The principle is to choose two chords that can be used with the same scale and improvise between them.

Learn To Play Guitar - Tab, Bass, tablature, chords and strings

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

Guitar is a musical instrument strung with gut strings having a body with a flat back, graceful incurvarions etc. and for playing, it is twanged by the fingers. It is called in French as guilarre, German as Guitarre, Italian as cijitarra and in Spanish as guitarra. The construction of the instrument is of paramount importance in assigning to the guitar its true position in the history of musical instruments, midway between the cithara and the violin.

Materials Used

The back and ribs of guitar are comprised of maple, ash or cherry-wood, frequently inlaid with rose-wood, mother of pearl, tortoise-shell etc. while the sound board is of pine and has one large ornamental rose sound hole. The bridge, to which the strings are fastened, is of ebony with an ivory nut which determines the one end of the vibrating strings, while the nut at the end of the fingerboard determines the other. The neck and fingerboard are made of hard wood, such as ebony, beech or pear. The head, bent back from the neck at an obtuse angle contains two parallel barrels or long holes through which the pegs or metal screws pass, three on each side of the head. The correct positions for stopping the intervals arc marked on the fingerboard by a little metal.

Strings

The real Sound ridges called frets. The modern guitar has six strings, three of gut and three of silk covered with silver wire, tuned as, the thumb are assigned the three deepest strings while the first, second and third fingers are used to twang the highest strings. They are divided into two groups - Bass and Treble. The bass strings are thicker and have an inner nylon core with steel wrapped around them. The trebles are clear nylon and thinner. The thumb finger will more often twang treble strings than the Bass strings. Types of guitars

1.Acoustic guitars

As long ago known from the history these are used by playing with hand. Though it is impressing many limitations are there such as listened to a short distance, often note cannot be recalled unless the player knows the tab well. A great-sounding acoustic guitar will be necessary but not sufficient condition to produce a great amplified tone.

2.Electric guitars

Electric players have known for fifty years that they needed to learn about more than just their guitars, and have made a science of studying their pickups, amplifiers, cord lengths, impedance problems, effects devices, amplifying, miking techniques, and even speaker and tube types.

Famous Guitars Many famous companies make and sell guitars of both types. Remarkable of them are Gibsons and Fenders Guitars. There are many guitar centers which teach playing guitar. Online guitar lessons are also given in some websites. They teach guitar tabs (ie) tablature set of notations for listening and playing), bass tablature, guitar chords, ultimate guitar tabs etc. Some give even free lessons online. Learning Guitar - Notations & String assignment

The notations are defined to the right hand fingers. While writing down the fingers are indicated by letters, i for Index, m for Middle and a for Ring finger. When written down the thumb is indicated by the letter p. This code is to do with the Latin names for each note. { P = Thumb I = Index M = Middle A = Ring Finger } This can be easily remembered as PIMA.

visit : Guitar Learning - Tricks and Tips

The names of each string read from Bass to Treble as: 6-E -bass 5-A -bass 4-D -bass 3-G - treble 2-B - treble 1-E - treble

Open string preparation and striking

When striking or plucking a string the movement in thumb should come from above and through the string making sure that you have a good solid contact with the string and a clear follow through. Your finger again should come from above but they will pull backwards into the palm of your hand. A good contact is needed and again a clear follow through that does not collide with the other close fingers.

Stable right hand technique

Now try to rest the thumb on the D string when the fingers are playing and also rest each individual finger on its assigned treble string. This gives a solid stable right hand position that isn't floating in the air above the strings attempting to hit a moving target. Your fingers and thumb should rest on the string waiting to strike. Make the transition smooth, so when replacing the thumb back on the D string pluck with the index and begin the trebles.

Practice

Often players have a slight lift and shake in their right hand that often limits the volume and security of your stroke, if you repeat this exercise slowly and listening for a good sound you will relax the hand and get a very clear sound. This is a technique of preparation and economy of movement that will take some time to filter its way into your existing songs and chordal progressions. It also will build a new technique and way in which you approach the guitar.

1.Take your time, don't go for speed first, go for accuracy.

2.Go for a nice deep stroke and listen for a rounded tone.

3.Feel secure and balanced.

4.Remember you want a technique that is as simple and as stable as possible.

6TH String = P = E 5TH String = P = A 4TH String = P = D 3RD String = I = G 2ND String = M = B 1ST String = A = E

Try and go up and down the guitar nice and slowly try and keep your hand relaxed, this exercise will remind you of the feel of the strings and how to approach the guitar.

Using standard chords

With your left hand bring in the chords of Eminor, Cmajor, Gmajor and Dmajor. Hold the chord for at least two repetitions of the right hand pattern going up and down the guitar. These chords require 6 strings, 5 strings and 4 strings to be plucked if we want the root note of each chord in the bass. This gives your thumb a different starting point for each chord. Remember to pivot through the changes in the left hand, try and link each chord to the next one. No fret buzz or sloppy timing between the hands. Complete synchronicity and always enough pressure to sound the note without buzzing, careful that you don't put down to much pressure.

Repetition and speed of fingers

When playing music that is formed in single lines, e.g. a guitar solo, the melody of a tune a run or scale make sure that your fingers alternate when plucking or striking the notes. The simplest way to approach this is to alternate between Index & middle fingers. These fingers are set beside each other and are also strong fingers so they should quickly get used to this type of alternation. The alternation gives a sense of rhythm and groove and will enable you to play twice as fast than if you used just your index.

Careful to always alternate index to middle. When playing the repetition of 4 or 2 this is easier than 3 or 1, the odd numbers create almost a little skip as you cross the string, relax your hand and concentrate on shifting the weight from finger to finger. Careful that you don't bring your left hand to far from the fret board, keep it close in so each finger it can be quickly depressed onto the strings. Tip of the fingers in the left hand at all times.

Things to remember while playing Guitar

Sit with a forward sloping posture by tucking your feet underneath a horizontal chair, heels off the floor. The easiest way to have a forward sloping chair is to place a piece of wood under the back legs of your chair. Avoid backward sloping chairs.

If you don't like sitting with your legs tucked underneath, then just initially tuck your legs underneath until your upper torso swings forward like a pendulum. You spine will reach a more natural curve. Then bring your legs back to the untucked position by only moving your feet foreword; do not let your upper torso move back to a slumped position, although it may swing back a very small amount.

Sit with the entire body in a symmetrical position while still making minor movements and adjustments. Sitting well yet too rigidly makes for poor pressure distribution. Also, try wearing loose clothing as to allow for easier movement. Place your music stand at horizontal lane of your eyes at a convenient distance for your eyes.

Have a nice day,Be happy.
