How to learn the guitar online? This is the question most frequently asked by the beginner. When I started to learn the guitar, I paid thousands of dollars to my guitar teacher. However, when I researched the internet, I discovered that I could have the opportunity learn to play the guitar online for less than hundreds of dollars or even for free.

When I discovered how to learn the guitar online, I was very frustrated because it is so inexpensive. I have been taking lessons twice per week in guitar learning centers such as Yamaha, at an hourly rate of about $30 per hour for basic lessons like guitar tabulators, basic guitar chords, how to strum, and how to play classical music with a few simple fingering methods. However, you can learn the guitar online for free or complete a more advanced guitar course without spending several thousand dollars a year.

Learn to play the guitar online is easier than learning from a private teacher. Online guitar lessons include graphics, animated images, video tutorials and demo sounds to make it easier for you to learn. They will help you to start playing a song on your guitar within a short period by enhancing your learning process with tutorials that utilize your senses of sight, sound, and touch.

Most people learn the guitar online not to become a superstar or to play like a pro. They just want to play a few songs that can be performed in front of crowds, and they want to start playing songs as soon as possible. Online guitar training can suit their needs. A person can start playing songs within a week by following the online step-by-step video tutorials and, with practice, will soon play like a pro.

How to learn the guitar online can also be attractive because of the "hear and play" techniques. It is very important to train yourself to be sensitive to music, especially guitar songs. Learning the guitar online will provide you with more details on how to play a song after listening to it. This is a high-level technique that uses your senses, subliminal mind and imagination, and it?s more easily learned online than from a private teacher.

Learn To Play Guitar Tab - Happy Birthday To You

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

This is the time for you to learn the most popular song in the English language according to Guinness Book of World Records. You do not need to know sheet music. You only need a guitar so let's start!

We will use guitar tab notation which will show you where to put your fingers on your guitar strings as you play. We will explain how to use it later on.

Here are the lyrics:

Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday Dear_____ Happy Birthday To You

Let's learn to play the first line with guitar tab:

Happy Birthday To You

1. ----------------------

2. ---------------1--0---

3. -0--0--2--0-----------

What does the lines and numbers mean? Good question!

The three lines represent the three highest strings on your guitar. Highest in pitch that is! If you hold your guitar the usual way it will be the three strings nearest your feet.

The numbers indicate which fret you are to press down. 0 means that you play a string without pressing down a fret. This is called to play an open string.

The first notes 0 0 2 0 means that you play the third open string twice, then play the second fret on the third string and then back to the third open string.

Hopefully you are recognizing the melody by now!

We will now learn the next line with guitar tab:

Happy Birthday To You

1. ---------------------

2. ---------------3--1--

3. -0--0--2--0----------

What right hand finger should you use? Well, there are many ways to play this song. If you are a complete beginner maybe you can use your right hand thumb to pluck the notes. It should be the easiest way to play the melody, I guess.

We will now learn to play the third line with guitar tab. We will use a name. Let's take the name Peter, that is my name by the way! :

Happy Birthday Dear Peter

1. -------3--0-----------

2. -------------1--0-----

3. -0--0--------------2--

What about the left hand fingers? You can of course use your index finger to play all the notes.

This way to play guitar will work with slow easy pieces but it does not work with more complicated guitar melodies and when you start to play pieces with more than one not at a time.

If you want to learn to play guitar in a more professional way you can use your left hand index finger to play the notes on the first fret, the middle finger to play the notes on the second fret and the ring finger for the third fret.

Time to finish this guitar lesson!

We will now learn to play the last line with the following guitar tab:

Happy Birthday To You

1. --1--1--0-----------

2. -----------1--3--1--

3. --------------------

As all people have a birthday there will be many occasions to play this song! I suggest that you learn the melody by heart, one line at a time.

Learning Guitar Scales - 3 Powerful Tips To Stop You Feeling Totally Overwhelmed With Scales

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Learning guitar scales can be a very frustrating experience for many guitarists. It?s very easy to feel totally overwhelmed with just how much needs to be learnt. To learn and master every possible guitar scale out there would take many lifetimes. Because of this, many guitarists find it hard even knowing where to start!

In this article I?ll reveal three powerful tips to help you in your quest for guitar scale mastery. They are designed to help reduce any feelings of overwhelm that you may currently have. Let?s take a look at the tips now?

Tip #1: Develop a written plan for learning guitar scales.

This is really important. It is vital to introduce some structure into your scale learning process. Rather than aimlessly practicing guitar scales, you want to become laser-focused. This is achieved by writing down things such as?

-How much time each day you will devote to scale practice.
-What guitar scales you need to learn, in order to play the style of music that you love.
-What keys are the most common to the style of music that you play.
-What specific guitar scale exercises you will learn.
-What books, DVDs and other resources you will use to learn scales.
-The specific things that you don?t understand yet about guitar scales.

If you don?t know how to work out the stuff above, then I recommend booking some lessons with a professional guitar tutor. Make sure that they can play the style of music that you love. It?s not much point asking a classical guitar tutor what scales you need to learn for jazz guitar!

Tip #2: Learn one guitar scale at a time.

I can?t stress this tip enough. A major reason why many guitarists never master guitar scales is that they try to learn too many at once. This usually causes them to learn scales on a very superficial level. They may know lots of scales, but they definitely haven?t mastered any. This causes them to sound very unmusical when they improvise. They just sound like they are running up-and-down scales.

Tip #3: Don?t worry about trying to learn guitar scales in all 12 keys.

This advice goes against what a lot of guitar tutors and guitar books say. The reason why I say it is simple?

Trying to learn all scales in all 12 keys leads to a feeling of overwhelm for most guitarists! It can take months to learn a scale to mastery in one key. Especially if you want to know that scale over the entire fretboard AND be able to improvise fluently with it. For some guitarists, just thinking that they need to do this in all 12 keys is too much. They just give up! Here is a much better approach?

1. Find out what the most common keys are for the style of music that you play.
2. List the keys in order. You will put the most common key at the top, and the least common key at the bottom.
3. Master the key that is at the top of the list.
4. Master, (one at a time), the rest of the keys on your list.

There we have it! Implement these three tips and turbo-charge your ability to learn guitar scales!

Most guitarists don't have an experienced guitar mentor to help them when learning guitar scales. To be one of the few who do, go to: http://www.GuitarScaleMastery.com

Learn To Play The Guitar Twice As Fast In Half the Time

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

If you really want to learn to play guitar well you must do one simple thing before anything else. You must learn how learning takes place between your muscles and brain. If you understand the process that your brain must go through to train your muscles your practice sessions will produce predictably effective results.

You have probably heard the term muscle memory. This is the process of your brain learning and storing a set of precise instructions for each group of muscles needed for every small task you want your fingers to perform on the guitar. When muscle memory is solidly established it becomes a naturally effortless and an almost unconscious act to play the guitar well.

These tasks need to be practiced at speeds that are slow enough so that you can consistently perform them perfectly. If you practice the guitar at a tempo that produces lots of mistakes you end up teaching your muscles how to play the exercise with the mistakes included. Unfortunately muscles cannot distinguish between playing with mistakes and playing without them.

Here are 12 tips for having practice sessions that will support the development of good muscle memory:

1. Prepare your whole body for the practice session. Practice while relaxed. Just like an airplane pilot checks over the plane prior to take off you should check your body for any tension, stiffness, tightness, pain or any discomfort. Tight muscles can become tighter during practice which can seriously limit the full range of motion needed to master the guitar. Even tension in the shoulders can travel to the arms and then eventually to the fingers. Stretch and warm your entire body before playing in order to stay loose. Begin practicing with slow, easy exercises to prepare your hands for more demanding new material.

2. Practice in a quiet, comfortable place where you are unlikely to be disturbed.

3. Commit to a specific time each day for practice. Begin each day with a firm commitment to a practice plan that includes the specific details of when, where and what to play.

4. Keep your practice sessions short, frequent and very specific. It is more effective to practice 20 minutes everyday than to practice two or three hours once a week.

5. Always practice with a metronome. Let me repeat that. Always practice with a metronome. It is surprising how often even good guitarists break this rule. Training yourself to play at a consistent tempo will make your music sound professional. This is valuable whether you plan to play just for friends at a party or in a stadium full of screaming fans.

6. Tune the guitar before each practice.

7. Determine your optimum practice speeds. For each part of a scale, exercise or song find the fastest metronome speed that you can play without making mistakes. Practice it for a day at 25% to 30% of that maximum tempo. Follow this with a day at 50% of maximum then another day at 75%. On day four practice at your old maximum speed. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that you have a new, faster maximum speed. Be forewarned, however, that this routine might seem ridiculously slow but, hang in there because it really will pay off.

8. Do not try to learn too many different things at each practice session. Practice only small sections of an exercise or song at a time. Working on an entire new song, all in one setting, makes it more difficult for your brain to cement solid muscle memories. Just like a newborn baby can't handle an entire meal of solid food we need to practice only a few, small musical spoonfuls at a time.

9. Work on the problem parts not just what you already know. This may sound extremely obvious but there is a tendency for new guitarists to play the easy parts over and over while continuing to stumble over the problem spots.

10. Spend the first ten minutes warming up, then split the remaining time equally between new exercises and new songs.

11. Set aside some time to just goof around with the guitar. Make sure to inject a healthy dose of fun in each practice session. If you have been working on blues scales then why not put on some jam tracks or even your favorite blues CD and try to improvise a solo. Select a favorite song to work on at the end of each practice session.

12. If you plan to perform in front of people perfect your songs in private then practice playing in front of sympathetic friends and family members. Create a practice environment that is as close to the conditions of your upcoming performance as possible. If you will perform standing up then practice that way. Tell your friendly practice audiences to feel free to talk and laugh it up during your practice. This will help you learn to become comfortable in a distracting concert environment. Consider recording your practice sessions with a simple home video camera on a tripod.

Opening night jitters can throw off your game no matter how well you know the material. If you have repeatedly practiced playing in simulated concert environments then the real deal can be a breeze.

The bottom line: to play the guitar well it is essential to design practice sessions that support the natural development of solid muscle memories. Learn About How A Guitar Works And Makes Sound

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

How Guitars Work

Many people, guitarists included, have probably wondered how exactly guitars work. However, they probably also are confused by all of the terms used to describe how a guitar produces the sound we hear. There is quite a bit of physics involved in it, and those who haven?t taken a day of physics in their life probably wouldn?t understand it. This is where this article comes in handy. In this article, we will describe how both Acoustic and Electric guitars work in terms that everyone will understand.

How the Acoustic Works:

To start with, when a string vibrates (when you play it), it produces vibration at a certain frequency. The frequency at which a string vibrates is determined by the weight, length, and tension of the string.

The body of the guitar takes in the vibration of the strings and then puts the sound out into the air. This is the sound that is heard when the guitar string is played.

On an Acoustic guitar, there is a soundhole. This soundhole serves to amplify the sound of the vibration produced by the strings. Without the soundhole, the sound would be practically inaudible, which is the case with a solid body Electric guitar.

To alter the length (and therefore change the sound that is heard) of the string, you?ll alter the tension of the string. You do this by pressing down on the string on any of the frets and then playing that string. Doing so changes the frequency of the vibration, which, in turn, alters the sound that is heard.

How the Electric guitar Works:

Electric guitars really aren?t that much different from Acoustic guitars. In fact, the main difference between the two is that one is made of solid wood (with no holes), while the other has a hollow-body (with a soundhole). How Electric guitars work is a bit different than how Acoustic guitars do.

Just like with the Acoustic guitar, when a string is played, it vibrates. That vibration produces the sound that we hear. The frequency of the vibration is, again, determined by the weight, length and tension of the string.

With no soundhole, the Electric guitar is unable to self-amplify the sound produced by the vibration of the strings. Thus, the sound heard from an un-amplified Electric guitar is minimal. This is why guitar pickups and amplifiers are necessary to produce the sound loud enough for people to hear.

Pickups basically take the vibration of the strings and convert it into a useable electrical current. This current is then fed into the amplifier by way of a cable which is then interpreted by the amplifier. The sound that results comes out of the amplifier speaker.

Amplifiers that have pre-built distortion (and practically all of them do now) can distort the electrical current (vibration) by clipping it. The sound that results from this clipping is what is called distortion.

Other types of guitar effects found on amps and pedals do pretty much the same thing?they alter the electrical current which is fed to them by the pickups of the guitar.

And there you have it. That is, in a nutshell, exactly how guitars work. No physics necessary.

Learning to play guitar for free online has never been easier. Absolutely anyone can sit down, load up a website, pick up their guitar and immediately begin learning basic chords and notes. This soon progresses to learning parts of your favorite songs.

Guitar tabs allow you to learn just about any song you want. Tabs make reading music easy for those of us who are not so musically inclined to be able to read traditional sheet music.
Personally, I went from not being able to play a chord to being able to play some of my favorite rock songs all within just a couple of months of practice every day. If you have one hour per day, learning to play guitar free and easily online will soon lead you to be an accomplished musician. And with practice, you can only improve your guitar playing skills!

Guitar tabs will show you how to play the most common guitar chords such as D, C and G. These are the most basic form of guitar playing and you can literally learn these in seconds if you are learning to play guitar online.

Once you know the basics of reading guitar tabs, you can play any song your heart desires. If the tab is accurate, your playing will sound superb.

There is also specialized software which will play back the sound of a chord or note for you, from which you can then mimic with your guitar. This is a fantastic method of knowing if your playing is in tune and accurate.

Taking this even further, my favourite guitar website, Jamora provides VIDEO of people playing the exact notes or song you want to learn. You are able to watch their finger movements, slow down, pause and rewind the video until you can copy exactly what they are doing. Does it get any easier than this?

Anyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar can easily learn how to do it.

Quitting too early is the problem that most newbies have. The reason why they give up is because they find that it is too difficult and they quit trying hard enough to learn how to play the instrument.

Practice is essential in learning how to play any instrument, including the guitar. Most new guitar players give the excuses that their fingers hurt or they do not have time to practice as their reason for quitting guitar, rather than the true reason of not practicing as much as they should. Practice makes perfect and many people do not want to put the time into practicing that is needed.

If you want to learn how to play the guitar, here are a few tips for you to keep in mind:

1. Get the best guitar that your budget can afford

You will learn easier and faster if you have a quality instrument to learn on. You don't have to buy the most expensive one, but you do need to do your research to find a quality guitar that fits your budget.

A quality guitar will sound better and feel better to even an inexperienced guitar player. They can also give you an added incentive to learn how to play because you enjoy the feel and sound of the guitar.

2. Practice, Practice, Practice

You need to practice every day for best results. It is really the ONLY way for you to learn how to play the guitar comfortably and well.

3. Learning by Yourself

In many cases, it may be easier for you to learn how to play by yourself. You can then learn at your own pace and at your own comfort.

You will still need an instructor, but learning the basics will be much easier on your own and then you can find an instructor to help you learn how to play the guitar.

The most important thing for you to do is to get started. After you become comfortable and familiar with the guitar, then it is time to find an instructor. You can learn to play the guitar as easy as 1-2-3. You just need to be interested in it enough to stick with it through the ups and downs.

Learn How to read Guitar Sheet Music and Play Guitar Like a Pro

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

Over the last few decades guitar playing had proved to be one of the more popular hobbies. Not only to teens but also for matured adults as well.

Maybe because guitar playing is not only fun and thrilling, but very intellectual too. If an academic genius is sharpened by reading books, a musical genius primarily uses his ears. And guitar is a great instrument to start learning with.

For beginners, one helpful way to learn how to play a guitar is by the use of a guitar sheet music. This music sheet serves as a guide to the correct placement of fingers in the fretboard to create a certain sound.

Guitar sheet music is more commonly referred to as Guitar Tablature.

Primarily, every song is composed of chords and every chord is composed of two or more notes. So basically, you shift the position of your fingers each time the chord changes. It is the rhythm and harmony that creates the melody and the music.

This guitar sheet music can be found in a song book or included in guitar kits upon purchase of the guitar instrument, or better yet, purchase a guitar music sheet that you feel is easy to learn.

To start with, choose a song that is familiar to you and which contains chords that are accessible to your greenhorn fingers.

As a beginner, you must be patient enough to be familiar with every shifting and positioning of your fingers. Take it slowly and attentively. Listen. The major sense organ that will be of use is your sense of hearing. First, listen to the radio or to a CD player for timing and phasing.

The music sheet cannot show you how fast or slow you need to strum so listen carefully as the song is played. If you can find a tutor, he can guide you with this matter, but if not, you have to learn it yourself. It will be helpful that you find a convenient place for you to practice on, a place away from distractions and noise.

One tip: Learn to play an entire song before moving on to the next. It may be hard at first but being able to play an entire song will help boost your confidence.

It is when you can play the whole song in the absence of the guitar music sheet that you will appreciate the accomplishment. And then the more you are learning, the more that you want to learn other songs. Who knows, sooner or later you may even write your own masterpiece!

A great website to help you learn to play guitar is called Jamorama which can be found at: http://www.Top65.com/a/?l=2

Using a MP3 Player to Learn Songs on Guitar

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

How can you use an Ipod or MP3 Player to learn a song on guitar faster? I asked myself that question a few weeks back, and started to learn ways I can implement my two favorite toys, my guitar and my MP3 player.

Here is what I did:

1. I recorded rhythm tracks on a drum machine and converted the files to MP3s and upload them to my MP3 Player. 2. I used these tracks to jam along with and improve my rhythm playing. 3. After finding guitar TAB for a song I wanted to learn, I ripped the song from my CD collection and upload it to my player 4. I used my amp with head phones only. 5. I put in the ear buds for the MP3 Player, and then put the amplifiers head phones over top. 6. Adjust the volume of the MP3 player and amplifier so the balance between the two is correct when playing. Be careful not to turn the volume too high, ear damage can happened if you are not careful.

Now play the song you want to learn on the MP3 player and use the guitar TAB to play along with the song. This method helps you learn timing and phrasing similar to the actual recording. It also forces better rhythm playing, since you will be trying to match the rhythm of the original recording.

It is important that you work with the TAB for a little while before you start using the MP3 player to jam along with. Learn the basic rhythm patterns, chords, scales and the key of the song. Make sure you listen to the song on the MP3 player as a clue to how the riffs work in the song. Then sit down and study the TAB until you have the basic riff worked out. After you have accomplished the basics it is time to start jamming along to the song with your MP3 player.

It may be difficult at first to keep up with the original recording, but you can set up most players to auto repeat a song, allowing you the chance to repeat the song until you start to improve. Repetition and perseverance are the secret to learning how to play any song or musical instrument.

With this method you will be surprised how fast you can learn your favorite song. By using this system I have been able to reduce the amount of time it takes to learn a song by more than 50%.

Guitar Lesson: Learn To Play Guitar Tab Solo Morning Has Broken

Simple Step By Step Guitar Lesson. If You Cant Learn GUITAR From This Lesson Then You Cant Learn Guitar Anymore

         >>  Dont Even Think Of Trying Other Prodicts untill You Read This <<

You don't need to know guitar sheet music to learn to play guitar melodies. Let's learn Morning Has Broken with guitar tab!

"Morning Has Broken" is a Christian hymn. Cat Stevens has recorded a popular version of the song.

Here is the first verse:

Morning has broken, like the first morning Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for the springing fresh from the world

As I mentioned we will not use guitar sheet music notation. Many people find it hard to read sheet music on guitar.

In order to learn to play guitar melodies we will use another notation system called tablature.

Tablature or guitar tab is a form of musical notation, often with numbers and letters, which will tell you where to place your fingers on the guitar fretboard in order to play a melody.

In this article I will use a type of guitar tab notation with numbers only. The more common guitar tab staff notation you will find on my site.

Let?s take a look at your guitar!

The six strings on your guitar is numbered from the one with the highest pitch. This string is called the first string.

In order for me to tell you how to play the melody on your guitar I will write down which fret to press down with your left hand and which string to play.

If I write 31 it means that you are to press down the third fret on the first string. The first number indicates the fret to press down and the next number the string.

01 means: play the first open string. This means that you play the first string without pressing down a fret.

The first part of Morning Has Broken with guitar tab and lyrics looks like this:

Morning has broken, like the first morning

35 24 03 12 32 02 23 03 23 02 23 03

You will start with the note C here notated 35. That is, press down the third fret on the fift string.

In this type of guitar tab notation you will not have an indication as to the length of the notes. I suggest that you sing the lyrics in order to feel how the melody is to be played.

Let's look at the next guitar tab:

Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird

35 04 24 03 23 03 24 35 04

In this guitar lesson we will not deal with how to play the strings with your right hand fingers. I suggest that you play the strings with you right hand thumb or some other way you choose.

The next guitar tab looks like this:

Praise for the singing, praise for the morning

03 24 03 12 23 03 24 35 35 04

What about your left hand? You can play the notes with your index finger but I suggest that you assign the notes on the first fret to your index finger, the notes on the second fret to your middle finger and so on.

It might be a little bit difficult at first but in the long run you will find it easier to play melodies with these left hand fingerings if you are persistent!

Now we will continue with the next and last guitar tab:

Praise for the springing fresh from the world

24 04 24 03 23 04 24 04 35

I promised you that you could learn Morning Has Broken on your guitar without sheet music and now you have accomplished this and I have kept my promise. Congratulations!

It would have been nice to hear you play the melody but I guess it is not possible so play it for a friend!

I suggest that you memorize the melody one line at a time so that the reading of this guitar tab will not slow you down when you play the melody in public!
